Staff Writer

Little Rock, Ark. - The Quapaw Quarter Association (QQA) will host its 51st Spring Tour on Mother's Day Weekend, May 9-10, in downtown Little Rock.

The Spring Tour of Homes has been held since 1963 with the purpose of fostering appreciation of historic buildings and neighborhoods and the need for their preservation. The Tour was this year's recipient of the Grand Old Classic Special Event Award at the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism's Henry Awards. The 51st Spring Tour features old, new and sacred buildings throughout downtown that represent the rich diversity of Little Rock's Quapaw Quarter; most have never before been on the tour.

The 51st Spring Tour includes the c. 1917 Firehouse Hostel and Museum at 1201 Commerce Street, the 1941 Christ Episcopal Church at 509 Scott Street, 1842 Historic Curran Hall at 615 East Capitol Avenue, Herron Horton Office/Studio/Residence built in 2008 at 1219 South Spring Street, the c. 1890 Haile Cottage at 417 West 13th Street, and the 1890s house at 1411 Broadway Street.
