Lions, Lady Lions lead the pack at Bismarck Meadow Dash

The Bismarck cross country teams hosted the Bismarck Meadow Dash meet on Saturday, October 5, 2019. The Jr. Lions and Lady Lions and Sr. Lions and Lady Lions took advantage of being at home to finish the meet in good standings.
The Sr. Lions placed first out of five schools with Centerpoint placing second. The Jr. Boys finished as the runner-up, just behind Caddo Hills. The Jr. Lady Lions finished third in a close competition with Gurdon and Centerpoint. There were no full teams in the Sr. Girls division.
The Lions and Lady Lions teams also had many individual awards. The top 10 finishers in each division received a medal. The Lions and Lady Lions had three first place finishers. Sr. Lion Alex Ventress, Sr. Lady Lion Victoria Bourgeious, and Jr. Lion Joseph Porter each finished first in their division. Other medalist included Sr. Lions Wayne Porterfield (finished 5th) and Brooks DePriest (finished 8th), Jr. Lion Eli Van Wie (finished 7th), and Jr. Lady Lion Kelssi Davis (finished 2nd).
The Lions and Lady Lions next meet will be host by Lake Hamilton at Oaklawn Park on October 19.
