Attack of the orange and black: Lady Panthers visit Lady Leopards

The Malvern Lady Leopards 8th grade volleyball team hosted the Magnet Cove Lady Panthers Jr. High team at the Leopard Center on Monday, September 9, 2019.
The Lady Leopards and Lady Panthers played four sets. Malvern won three sets with Magnet Cove winning one set.
In set one, the Lady Panthers took a 10-0 lead over the Lady Leopards to start the game. The Lady Leopards rallied back from the deficit to tie the set at 22-22. The Lady Leopards took the lead 24-23 then won the set 25-23. The Lady Panthers and Lady Leopards kept it close in set two. The Lady Leopards were once again able to squeak out with the win 25-23. The Lady Leopards found more momentum in the third set and beat the Lady Panthers 25-16. It was an intense battle with the Lady Leopards and Lady Panthers in set four. The Lady Leopards had taken a 24-20 lead over the Lady Panthers. It was the Lady Panthers who rallied back to tie the game at 24-24. The Lady Panthers then scored two more point to win the set 26-24.
The Malvern 8th graders will be back at the Leopard Center on Monday, September 16 to host the Jessieville Lady Lions at 4 p.m. The Lady Panthers Jr. High squad will be at home to host Maumelle Charter on Thursday, September 12 at 4:30 p.m.
